ORANJEMUND – On Monday, 14th August 2023, the Acting Chief Executive Officer of Oranjemund Town Council, Mr. Charles Kakuru held a meeting with the Executive Director of Ministry of Health and Social Services, Mr. Ben Nangombe and his team to discuss the possibility to enter into a Memorandum of Understanding that will focus on key collaboration areas in strengthening the public health sector.

The Oranjemund Town Council remains committed to enhance preparedness and emergency response to its residents. In its efforts, Council constructed a new fire station that is earmarked to be fully completed next month (September 2023) and addition to this, Council also procured an ambulance to ensure effective and efficient delivery of emergency response services. It’s a significant investment towards community safety, as it will indeed enhance emergency response and provide a modern facility with all the necessary equipment for our firefighters and emergency response team to serve best in emergency cases. The Oranjemund Town Council looks forward to cement its relations with the Ministry of Health and Social Services.
